Eurostat is exploring how EBSI can help achieve the independent authentication of published datasets — so researchers, journalists, auditors, and policy analysts can verify the figures they rely on.

The Decentralised EU Securities Service (DEUSS) is a financial infrastructure that connects strategic SMEs directly with investors throughout the European Union. The project explores how EBSI can support digital bond issuance for SMEs by making issuer, investor, and bond information easier to verify across borders.
EBSI is open source under the European Public Licence. Evaluate the full stack locally, and connect to the live network when ready.

Made for platforms and networks where issuer integrity is essential. In multi-actor ecosystems, an unverified issuer or an expired accreditation can compromise every transaction built on top of it. With EBSI, you set the rules structurally. Register your issuers, define layers of accreditation, and manage revocation in real time. Every credential your ecosystem produces is cryptographically bound to an authorised issuer and verifiable by any stakeholder, instantly.

Once data leaves your system, it’s exposed to edits or falsification, exposing your organisation to reputational or regulatory risks. EBSI allows public institutions, statistical agencies and any organisation to publish data that anyone can independently verify without involving intermediaries. Any party can confirm the origin and integrity of a document, a dataset or any other type of data.

Product records, certificates, and sustainability claims often move across many systems and actors, making it hard to prove where data came from. EBSI enables product and compliance data to carry verifiable proof of origin, issuer, status, and history, helping ecosystems build digital passports, records, and traceability services that stakeholders can trust.

As assets, rights and records become digital, organisations need reliable ways to prove where they were issued, who owns them, and whether they are valid. EBSI enables digital assets to be issued, transferred, and verified on European infrastructure, with authenticated provenance, status, and auditability across organisations.
